Recovered well after it too, Taylor would have guided De Bruyne into the box and then turned out the way for a nice 1-on-1 with Darlow.

Took some restraint not to immediately dive in to try and make up for it. He's got smarts.

Don't know, backed off way too quickly which played Aguero on side almost immediately. Understand that he probably panicked a bit and wanted to get back into position, but would have preferred him to have kept his cool a little bit.

I thought Lascelles was absolutely amazing tonight. Regardless of that pass he shepherded De Bruyne away excellently and forced him into a mistake. Proper, good, hard, old fashioned CB. I like.

Been shocked at how this lad has stepped up his game in recent weeks.

Looked terrified of the ball whenever he got a game for us previously. He's still a bit clumsy on the ball but he's improving as he grows in confidence. He and Mbemba complement each other very nicely and should be our first choice partnership for the rest of the season. Have every faith that Rafa will do just that as well. You just know Pardew and McClaren would be itching to send Coloccini and/or Taylor out there as soon as they got half a fucking chance. The stupid cunts.

Some talk in the comments from the Guardian match report that he had a bit of a dig at Shelvey in the match programme? Lazy trainer, loses his head when things don't go his way apparently - any truth in this?

Can't just make a positive post these days... there's always something to p*ss you off with this club.

 Apologies. Just curious - wasn't trying to put a negative slant on Lascelles!

(sounds pretty accurate if true though)

If he keeps up the performances for the rest of the season, would anyone be opposed to having Mbemba and Lascelles as first choice CB pair come start of next season (regardless of division) if we got a cheap-ish old head in as cover in the mould of Toure/Demichelis?

Would like to see them given a go but would like to see another experienced CB brought in. We have the "old head" in Colo, so someone of Saylor's age, similar level of experience but a bit better. Chances are slim though I guess.

Forest fans will think we've gon mad btw, he was pretty awful for them, couldn't even get into the team

BUT

The difference he has made along with rafa is unreal. So organised, holy s***.

Can't understand this attitude. He's young and still maturing.

This is one of the problems the England team face, if he does go on to progress and does make it in a different universe if we'd had 10 points more he would barely have had a look in
