It's just abysmal man the standard of people we have in the squad. Any CB who is even slightly more talented than the ones we have (which Mbemba definitely is) was needed. Lets not forget last season we were playing Taylor and Williamson. Mbemba is really not as shit as some make out, playing alongside Taylor would make Pique look woeful. The very few times he has been alongside Lascelles he has looked quite solid, he wasn't too bad alongside Coloccini. Even on Saturday, he made more last ditch tackles and blocks than anyone else.
