mackems vs Newcastle United - Sunday 25/10/15 12:00 (Sky Sports 1)

Recommended Posts

Suddenly things looks a lot brighter.

Think we will win. Should play with patience - let they come at us without us defending too deep. They are at home so there will be space on the counter...which is were we are best imo.

Probably same team. Not sure about cm positions and LB though.

We really need to play a calm, cool almost calculating type game.  We really can't give anything away and concentration has to be absolutely bang on, especially the first 20 minutes.  If we can keep it quite tight and pick our moments we should win.

The last 5 derbies we have conceded in the first half and sometimes very early in the first half, we can't afford to be chasing the game at any point imo.  Comes down to the first goal and if we get it we will be fine.

Dummett over Haidara for me for aerial ability. It's Sunderland's best hope. That and turning into a kicking fest.

I think our attacking players have enough to score against them without help from LB. Janmaat can do his usual thing from RB because his end product is far better than what we'll get from LB.

Aye.  They're going to be lumping balls into our box every chance they get and Dummett is far better suited than Haidara whose had some real stinkers so far this season.  Out of the two, Dummett is the better defender.

Problem with that is if Dummett defends too narrow, we could well be leaving their crossers unmarked. Really need to get pressing out wide to stop that shit. The Norwich game was ridiculous in this respect.

After five straight wins for Newcastle United, Ayoze Perez feels it's time to bring an end to derby day defeats against Sunderland

That is just ridiculous.

Anyone aware of any pubs in town serving before 9am this Sunday?

Casinos have always been good in the past. Few years back we were there for about 7am and it wasn't a problem but last couple of times they've closed the bar so we ended up meeting in someone's house. So glad I don't give a fuck anymore and just go out at a reasonable hour. Seriously considering just watching it in the local social club with me Dad this Sunday.
