Stal
Heartbroken. Pav was not just my inspiration for wanting to play in goal as a kid, he is still my favourite player ever. RIP Pavel, you will truly be missed.

TK-421
Just seen this on a mates FB feed. Whilst slightly expected given his condition, still heartbreaking news. Thoughts go out to his family. RIP Pav :'(
Jack Flash
He went right up next to Lee Clark as my favourite player when I met him at the training ground. Met loads of players in those days but he made the biggest impact. If any foreigner ever did it the right way at this club it was him.
BONTEMPI
So devastated for all his family. RIP Pav, you won't be forgotten.

oldtype
Awful news. RIP. For the most part he was before my time and I only really saw him during his brief stint with us in 2006-2007, but it was easy to see why he was so loved.

Jack Flash
Horrible news. My Mam will be devastated. Her favourite player. Same here, oddly enough. She's never watched a game in her life but always asks "What's Pav up to these days?" every few months due to how nice he was at the training ground on a few occasions in 1994. Guest
Fitting that the last home game he was with us for, was against the side he made one of the best saves I've seen a Newcastle keeper produce, from Anders Limpar.

Heron
RIP Pav! You should be idolised by any young foreigner wanting to make his way at Newcastle United. Goalkeepers especially! Pavel is a Geordie!
James
RIP Pav. He made me like being a keeper. Him in the Tyne bridge sunset top was a defining image when I was younger
