I’m going to say fair play to him the last year or so for trying a couple of new challenges and not jumping on the Championship gravy train. Still a prick obviously.

What makes you think he had any offers from Championship teams?

Its like putting the Grinch in charge of Christmas, I was thinking about it yesterday watching the poor quality of football over the weekend, why can't everyone play like Leeds, Liverpool and Man City, surely in this day and age we can get a team of professional sportsmen to put more than 3 passes together without losing the ball, footballers have never been so highly paid or have better coaching facilities, to put that much investment into 11 resources and then manage them poorly is criminal really, its basically an entertainment industry but we have falling into the trap of sticking with what everyone knows instead of growing the sport.

How the hell has Tony Pulis just getting another top job FFS, I put the blame here 100% with the owners and the British press (pundits), they may as well hire the 11 best lawyers in the world and get them to post letters

Spoke to my colleague Mihail in our Sofia office who is a massive CSKA fan. They're all excited over there as Pards is described as an 'English football specialist with lots of experience and contacts in the game'......he asked why I was laughing so much down the phone.

Also, the word Pardew in Bulgarian can be translated as 'I farted'.
