Big Geordie
Wonder if they might try and tempt Hippo Heed back. I can see that happening. Though apparently Short wasn't happy about the manner of his departure for England.

Dokko
Wonder if they might try and tempt Hippo Heed back. I can see that happening. Though apparently Short wasn't happy about the manner of his departure for England. No chance. 1. The FA will not want him managing in the league any time soon, so much so i reckon his £1m pay-off will stipulate he's not allowed, otherwise why give him anything...he was banged to rights. 2. If he did come back the FA will be after him for making them look like mugs. 3. He was a very big rat jumping ship, he knew what was coming down there and the England job was a perfect excuse to escape, which makes his downfall all the more sweeter. 4. He's yet to be disciplined for bringing the game in to disrepute, he was only dealt with as the current England manager and role...wonder when that rears its ugly head? afar
Surprisingly positive and upbeat here, someone must have had a word with him or he's trying another trick in his "Dummies Guide to PL management". They had one shot on target the whole game but if you listen to this he makes it sound like they've improved and were just unlucky today. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37669256

bhoywhonder
There was a lovely moment on BBC 5 this morning prior to the 12.30 kick off: Mark Chapman: So if you weren't at Stamford Bridge today, where else would you rather be? John Southall (Pundit): Probably Stoke v Sunderland Mark Chapman: Er....(silence) John Southall: Haha, no, not really! (laughter). Well, probably the Hawthorns, Spurs are on a roll and West Brom..... sunderland - the premier league's punchline. To a sh*t joke.

Although they booed their players and the manager at half time I thought they made a lot of noise 2nd half for a team as dire as they were. Also to travel in those numbers when bottom of the league also deserves a lot of credit imo

Be either him or Hodgson, either will rescue them unfortunately, this year they are fortunate the three promoted side are extremely weak, think it'll be a 4 horse race for the 3 spots and you know the mackems will find a way to win that, they always do.17946
