mrmojorisin75
Both clubs share the same principal partner in Dafabet and in recognition of this, the game - the first pre-season friendly to be staged at the stadium since 2008 – will be known as the Dafabet Cup, with the respective trophy awarded to the winning side. sleazy
Yeah this 5 million for Murphy is a one of those Mackem lies that have been repeated so many times they've become truth. if the rumours are true they want to sign him I hope we make sure to charge them the £5m they keep claiming he cost us. Mustve been around the time they decided it was better to devote the stadium pre-season to those lucrative and high-profile summer gigs which brought millions of pounds into the local economy and raised the profile of both the club and the city nationally and internationally... ...that we just nicked. afar
How the f**k is Borini getting a move to Milan?! Boumsong went to Juventus (mind you they were in Serie B at the time). Some teams are stupid.
Nobody
Can't believe they're getting £5m for Borini. Along with Pickford and the probable sales of Kone, Ndong and Khazri, they might raise a decent chunk. Isn't that roughly what we paid for Murphy? More. We paid around £3m for Murphy. Still, shows how little you get for those sums. Ageing third choice Championship striker, basically.

Ryan
16/1?! Think we were about 4/1 at this point last summer, went down to around 2/1 just before the season started .
Klaus
I would consider sticking money on them going up tbh, there is still plenty of s**** in that league

They paid £10m for him 2 years ago so I'd be very surprised if they don't still owe £5m for him.
afar
I would consider sticking money on them going up tbh, there is still plenty of s**** in that league Have you seen the state of their squad ? Unless these new owners (if it happens) throw a ton of money at them, a better bet is for them to go down again. Look at how badly Villa struggled last year with a way superior squad and a real manager !

mrmojorisin75
tell you what if they do manage to come up this season it'll be some achievement given the amount of players they've lost and when they're likely to be able to start looking at bringing in a new manager and players

Dr.Spaceman
Honestly didn't think it would drag on this long. Totally think they're done for. Imagine a second relegation in sucession, man

Look at how badly Villa struggled last year with a way superior squad and a real manager ! It just isn't going to happen. The current ownership have thrown a ton of misplaced money at it and that's a fundemental part of why they're in their current predicament. Their next ten years will be a lot more austere than the last ten.
Altamullan
In the post-war era they've been out of the top Divison for five consecutive seasons on two occasions and for six consecutive seasons on two occasions. There was a brief run around in third tier in their somewhere. At the minute it looks like all the conditions could be in place for a reord breaking run. Btw, apparently only three league clubs have had three consecutive relegations (Wolves, Luton, Bristol City), unlikely but there's a winnable competition, actually wouldn't require much effort... just keep doing nothing. "3 in a row FTM!"
