astraguy
Sheffield Wednesday for me without knowing if they have lost/gained anyone
Pilko
Boro, Derby and Sheff Wed to come up next year IMO. Villa in and around the playoffs, Norwich about 8th, mackems about 10th.
Bimpy474
Think Villa will be decent this season. Boro and Derby and surprise package might be Sheff United.
Guest chopey
Or Bolton with the geordie dream team up front.
Ketsbaia
Villa, Boro, Fulham and Wolves battling for top 2, with Sheff Wed and Reading nearby.
David Icke - Son of God
I said it last season, but it's going to be an absolute pain in the cock to get out of the Championship this season. At least half a dozen clubs you could make a really strong case for winning the thing, plus probably half a dozen more you'd fancy to be in the playoff picture. Figures 1-0 Football
Rather than being 'stronger than ever' the Championship this season is more 'average than ever' and basically all 24 teams are fairly balanced with average players - making it more competitive but keeping the quality extremely low. Obviously teams like Boro and Villa have one or two better players, which is reflective of them being slight favourites with the bookies. You could honestly make a case for any of the 24 teams being up and around the playoff places though. Throw in the complete mockery of the refereeing and you do have a very unpredictable and competitive league that the pundicts talk of, just in a different way. Guest
I'll be totally honest about this... I have no interest in the Championship now we're not in it. I'm fickle like that.
afar
I think that's a fair point, but I would extend that averageness to the bulk of the PL too, outside the top 7 teams in the country the rest of us are pretty meh really.

Other way for me the championship has some far better games then the premiership now couldn't pick a winner
frankpingel
Rather watch sunderland v Boro, Sheff Wed v Sheffield Utd or Villa v Brum than Bournemouth v Watford or Swansea v Burnley for starters.
LionOfGosforth
Jonny Gently in that thread is a good read: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/smoggies.1379067/page-4#post-25857849 "Typical of the jealousy of Smogs and mags who have aspirations way above their capabilities. However we are loved by other fans because we are everything the mags purport to be . Quote 'Man City fan'. Of course the difference is we know we're crap and can take the p*ss out of ourselves. The mags and smogs by and large can't. They still live in a Bobby and Bryan Robson wonderland. So sad so funny. " Where on earth does this notion come from? That Sunderland are "loved" by other fans. What exactly is it that they "are" anyway? Far as I know, they're a total non-entity as a club, haven't won owt since the 70's and are more generally known for racist fans and an empty stadium with rubbish on the pitch. Creased at the patter

Paully
That forum is like a different universe! The bitterness towards us and self-praising is beyond belief! Top two threads now are the Rafa one (163 pages!) and a Shelvey thread in which someone think Clattermole is a better player!

afar
Lets face it we are both interested in each other, and rightly so because it's one of the oldest football rivalries. A hate for Sunderland is part of what makes it fun to be a nufc fan, and I would expect it to be the same in reverse for them. It's only natural to want to debate the merits of our lot and the shit of theirs. It's really not that "cool" to be above that sort of thing, even though some people think it is. Guest
http://talksport.com/football/every-premier-league-season-ranked-worst-first-170719247189 It's a load of bollocks that list, but still found it funny that Sunderland's two best seasons are considered to have been in the worst and 4th worst of the 25 Premier League seasons so far.
