afar
I wouldn't loan Krul out if he's fit. He may have said he's leaving for free if he doesn't get a loan out, the year extension is a way to grant him his wish but still ensure we have him contracted in the summer, by which time the landscape may have changed, he might have had an awful season at Ajax, we might still be in the championship or we might be back in the PL. He is, by a long way our best keeper but if he doesn't want to play in this division then a loan with a contract extension is the best we can do. Dan Gleebals
Have not done the maths but our squad will be smaller at this rate then when we started. Concerned we are replacing to many players with Championship quality - not many feel like they will make the step up shiuld we get promoted and we are back to a squad full of shit on long term contracts. Ikon
Essential that we have attacking fullbacks if we plan to play with Ritchie on the right (his best position) and a right footed on the left. Who knows, we could be signing a left footed wide player and if not it would still work well if we have pacey players providing width Having a pacey player like Yedlin will probably open it up a bit for Ritchie i reckon, as well as giving us another dimension. Hope Yedlin can do well at this level.
Tubestationatmidnight
I have not been especially enthused by any of the players we have signed or are rumoured to be signing. Obviously Ritchie has come in and impressed as has Hayden so I hope others do as well and that we find one or two gems. The media keeps going on about us having the best squad but that is being dismantled as the days go by. Obviously those players don't want to be here and their attitude would be questionable if they have to stay but I don't see the squad we look like being left with as being particularly superior to other Championship clubs especially those that are promotion contenders. I just hope Rafa can work his magic on them. Same. It is an average squad as it stands but there is a week left to do something about it. Think Rafas business so far has been average at best
arnonel
I really hope we sign someone of the Ben Arfa ilk that get us genuinely excited. Not solid championship journey men, but someone with immense talent/potential who get us up off our feet.

We could sign the next Messi and the radio commentary would have us believing we'd signed the next Pat Heard.

Think Rafas business so far has been average at best The squad is fairly average but competitive. Few match winners with Perez, Diame, Gayle and Ritchie. Need to add quality in last 3rd. He has clearly been trying to sort out our defensive woes and have cover which is getting there and we aren't a team of dwarfes anymore. I expect Rafa to get the balance right between defence and attack it might just take a bit longer

Conjo
We'll walk the league with what we have now, even without Sissoko. Calm down.
Deckard 13
I think my biggest worry is that we lack sure things. Our level could be exceptional but we might suffer as we did last season. Ritchie, Diame, Mbemba and to an extent Gayle all look rock solid. In and around that are players with question marks about their consistency and suitability, like Ayoze, Shelvey and Mitro. Sprinkle in the old deficiencies such as no good left sided players, a general lack of thrust and the north easts finest left footed double act and it makes for nervous viewing at times. I do agree with an earlier post mind that mentioned how we may have been lulled into higher expectations than are realistic with some good early signings. I'd still like to see st least one more top draw (for the league anyway) wide/attacking player that you know will deliver.
Ikon
So we have 7 days to sign the 3 players that we need hmm. Not sure we will get three quality ones that we need...

Two of the deals are practically done. I know what you mean but i seriously hope we go for a winger on top of Captain Judge with one leg. Also hope we get a striker and LB (unless we plan to play Jesus there?) It sounds like we're after a LB going by all the rumours, but who knows
bowlingcrofty
Basically we need: Yedlin Left back Winger Another winger if Sissoko goes Striker. Busy few days.
Toon No9
I say we need one or two creative midfielders that can hold the ball and give us some time and posession. We also need a left sided defender and maybe a striker.
Dan Gleebals
Assuming Sissoko goes we are on for a tidy profit this window and a load of big wages on the books too.

xLiaaamx
Just keep him. Refuse all bids. We're woefully short out wide and there's not much time left.

Wallace
There may be some decent Premier League players that become available in the next few days - for loan at least - as clubs get the players in they need.

Or we could take 18m for him ( if anyone would even pay that) and use that to get knockaert. A motivated knockeart or a half assed Sissoko? thomas
Gretchen, quit trying to make Knockaert happen. It's not going to happen.
Guest
I don't think the Knockaert has anything to do with whether we have the cash, its whether we think he's worth what Brighton do.
