Figures 1-0 Football
I've no doubt that De Jong has twice the footballing brain of Mitrovic. Shame he has the body of a chocolate santa though.
LFEE
Would like to of took a punt on Ravel Morrison. Not sure why as I'm anti- Barton et al but thought we'd be a good match for him.

Karjala
If we recalled De Jong and he stayed fit we'd win the league imo. If Yup. Point still stands, he'd be very good in this league imo. This De Jong obsession is one I'll never understand. At least with the Mitro fanboys there is some modicum of talent and effort there that can lead to a fanclub, but De Jong has shown absolutely fuck all for us even when he's played. And missed absolute sitters. Has looked slow, laboured and frustrated. I have no idea what people ever saw in him, and I'm not even talking about his horrendous injury record. Mitro n De Jong were possibly the 2 biggest culprits in our relegation. Still think if the amazing de Jong had put that chance away into an empty net from 4yds vs Villa we'd have stayed up. He has never really looked outstanding, but whenever he has played he's looked a tidy player, playing the ball around, and getting us forward, and some of our better performances (although still shit, just better shit) where when he was in the side, he'd do a job for us this season, and is better then most that we have in his position. Provided he stays injury free.

Saying someone would be very good in this league provided they stay fit isn't obsession. Fuck me, Ciaran Clark is very good in this league, you're overestimating the league or underestimating De Jong. Pick one.

He's had a few chances and never taken any of them, I know Rafa is exceptional but i think he'd prove too much even for him.

Yep. That header and the myriad of Mitro misses are like a PG-13 version of Schindler's List for me. Apologies for the hyperbole.

Dokko
Seems the window has panned out exactly as expected. Well done Newcastle, let's just hope you haven't pissed off the manager in the process (more than likely they have)
SEMTEX
No meltdown for me, but just a little disappointing. I think we're unlikely to finish top now, and I think we'll need some good luck with injuries and suspensions to stay in the top 2. And lets hope Rafa agrees with this strategy somewhat. Thought we'd either strengthen the squad or make preparation for the PL. Done neither.

Be mildly disappointing if we don't get Townsend OWA THE LINE. Don't think we'll have any issues staying in the top two though. At least we shouldn't, the squad remains the strongest in the league. LionOfGosforth
It's the club MO under Ashley. Don't do a damn thing to support potential near-future success when you can gamble and possibly get away with doing absolutely f*** all

Why gamble with promotion? - considering the money at state £20 mil on a couple of decent players to gives us that push is money well spent. Do you actually think we're gambling on promotion like? We've got more than enough to see us win it, in my opinion. Apart from a couple of games at the end of December, start of January, it's been plain sailing. Did you see the games when Shelvey was banned?
