From memory it was more that there was very little support/options in the box (not least as nobody is going to keep up with him, even with the ball at his feet) for him to find rather than poor delivery which limited his impact. I can understand players like Beckham struggling, whos game was very much crossing based. Players who dribble and try to move past people should be able to adapt. I definitely think he has his uses though, and I'd back Rafa to get the most out of him. On a free it's a no-brainer, he'd immediately improve the squad.
