Remember 10 years ago when £10m could buy you PSGs best centre-back and Man City's best midfielder? :yao:

10m also got you Albert Luque

I still remember watching yt videos of him when we first signed him, frothing at the gash

Deportivo about to re-sign Adrian (striker) since they can't afford Lucas Perez.

Only seen highlights of Lucas Perez, but he sounds eager to prove himself, after being shut out at Arsenal. Sounds like a good buy, if the price is right.

The main stumbling block will be convincing the player to come to Newcastle. All the noises seem to suggest he's keen to return to Spain.

Newcastle's offer for Stoke striker Joselu wasn't anywhere near a reported £12m, The Sentinel can reveal.

Newcastle tabled an offer for the Spanish striker which was dismissed by Stoke's hierarchy last week as derisory.

The Sentinel now believes that figure was a fraction of the £12m being reported over the weekend.

Stoke would want to recoup most if not all of the £5.75m they paid for Joselu when signing him from Hannover two years ago.

no way way we offered less than this right, right?

We definitely shouldn't be offering any more if he's not pulled up any trees since that move. Not really sure if the interest is even genuine or just a smokescreen for another striker.

For that price Joselu isn't exactly a risk, but hardly an impressive goal scoring record to show for.

So what would be the point, given that we already have too many players like that on our books who we can't shift?

Bid of around £3m for Joselu turned down. Stoke want closer to what they payed for him.

Hands down the back of the sofa time and Charnley wrapped in a scruffy sleepingbag outside Greggs begging.
