Rafa’s not getting anyone to help the cause, is he? What's even more apt is that we are talking about bidding for a world class player at his peak a decade ago, now we couldn't afford him when he's not even wanted by the top clubs and is probably not that far off retirement. Maybe we just need to set our sights a bit lower, the Czech 2nd or 3rd divisions maybe, possibly have a look at the Vietnamese lower divisions or some of the Fijian non-league sides. If we gave a shit about staying up we'd have had deals done in December with players integrating as early as possible.
