Even before this game I couldn't understand how Kane was ahead of Vardy, and after this I'm yet more confused. What is a pure finisher like Kane, who can't score regularly for England, doing ahead of Vardy who has more to his game?

Hodgson has crafted a very good team there, full of energy. Reckon yous stand a good chance of doing very well if one or two of the players really has a great tournament. Says a lot you have players as quality as Milner able to come on as a sub.

I think our best chance is that the other decent sides seem to have problems of their own. France are the favourites but they looked pretty ordinary to me. The Germans are over the hill and missing a lot of key players. Who else is well rated?

Thought Italy looked very good couple of weeks ago although they were playing one of the most shambolic Scotland sides I've seen for a wee while. Seemed to be a nicely flowing side though.
