Guest dabe Posted August 4, 2016 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Only potential downside to this signing is he's 29 and we should have got him in 2012, would have enjoyed seeing him play for us when he was in the 24-28 age range. Never seen a more porous central midfield than at times last season. When Shane Long walks the ball through the middle of your team you know you have issues. I've read he played as a 10 at West Ham but surely that'll likely be given to Perez? Would be be able to play a similar role that Sissoko was supposed to be occupying last season? People are obsessed with the idea that we should only have 11 players. Here's a radical thought, how about we have more than one player who can play in a certain position. Aye but players still have roles. And are signed for a purpose. You sign a player like Diame, you would figure he would be on close to PL wages, so would be considered a starter Where would he play is a fair question.
