If you're going to Seaham make sure to position yourself right against the home dugout. Seaham's foul mouthed perma-furious manager Mark Collingwood is the best entertainment in the Northern League.

Ha ha Colly is my mate and he certainly is ha ha! He’s like that on the drink ha ha!

I see Redcar Athletic beat Matlock last night to win the league and secure back to back promotions into the 7th tier next season. We'll backed, but apparently Matlock's budget is bigger so they've done very well, especially to secure the title with 6 games to go.

Could play Hebburn and Morpeth next season, or neither.

 I love this Paully, we've been to Seaham more than anywhere else just to see him. Last time we were there he was in the middle of a tirade at the ref when the opposition goalkeeper jogged over and said "Is he allowed to talk to you like that ref?" to which Collingwood responded "fuck off you, you pie eating cunt!"

I haven't seen it myself anywhere but Sunlun AFC and Livescore apparently teaming up to let 500 folk into Seaham Red Star vs. Alnwick for nowt this Saturday for non-league day; advert apparently says free entry and a drink on the club.  Canny gesture if it's legit

It's a great gesture TBF, Sunderland no doubt inspired by the game being red and white vs. a team that plays in black and white at St. James' Park. The reverse fixture was first vs. second at the time and was a hard fought 1-1. Blyth Spartans have stolen most of our goals this year through signing Euan Potts and Jamie Clark but hopefully will still be a good game

Well, current Ipswich player!

I was at Hebburn for the game against FC United and Neil was there then too. It's a great set up at Hebburn like, I was well impressed.

Fantastic win for Ashington last night, 1-0 at home to promotion chasing Dunston.

That should just about see them safe. Blyth Town do have a game in hand and 7 games left, but it's hard to see them passing them, although Blyth have won 3 on the spin and have some reasonable looking fixtures.

It is looking like the 3 NE sides in the bottom 3 will drop. Ossett play Grimsby today, so at least one will pick up points there. Probably best from a NE POV that Grimsby win that one with them having an extra point and a game in hand, plus would be a home match wasted for Ossett, but Ossett do still have to play Brighouse who are in absolute free fall so they probably will get the 3 points there.

That result did Dunston no favours at the other end in their play off push, although it maybe does add a bit more life into Heaton's season as if they beat Blyth Town today, they will be within 3 points of 5th. That's a big game now.

Dunston are at home to Bradford PA next Saturday, current 5th vs 6th. I might go to that and just have a big footballing Easter weekend. Carlisle-Gateshead Friday, Dunston-Bradford Saturday, South Shields-Darlington Monday. I see Newcastle Women are actually at home on the Sunday, but 4 in 4 days might be too much, ha.

It's class just watching the results come in with teams you normally wouldn't be focusing on as much. Great minute for York, they take the lead and about a minute later their only rivals Rochdale fall behind.

Alnwick beaten two nowt by a team of moaning grafters who wanted it more. Probably a decent advert for the division but a disappointing result for Alnwick whose playoff chances are now pretty much gone. Worst red card call I have ever seen in my life as well, referee let everything flow quite well until about ten minutes from time when he sent off an Alnwick midfielder with a straight red for shirt pulling literally on the half way line, played advantage then gave the red when Alnwick's next defender won the ball back. Goal scoring opportunity :yao:
