nufcjb
Won't be mad or dissapointed if we win the match but still don't win the title. We've done all we could after seemingly throwing it away in the last few weeks. To finish a point behind the champions won't be bad. A joyful day out, with a noisy crowd singing Rafa's songs for 90mins would be great.

I was gutted we threw the title away but seeing us promoted at home to Preston was excellent. Both us and Brighton have had chances to kill the title race and haven't taken it. Fair play to whichever club manages to scrape it.

Ameritoon
Wouldn't have gotten Champions League League with 4th that season anyway. Would've been typical Newcastle United had it worked out that way.
ponsaelius
We had some absolutely horrific showings during that season despite finishing 5th. The 4-2 at Norwich, 5-0 at Spurs, 5-2 at Fulham, 4-0 at Wigan, the final day at Everton. Shows how precarious it was, the narrow wins and horrendously embarrassing defeats that became typical of the following 4 seasons were already apparent even then. Guest taps01
Unreal that this isn't on tv. The whole point of playing in a league is to win it yet they aren't showing the two teams who have a chance of winning it. Ridiculous!
nufcjb
Brighton have sold 5000 for a beamback at their stadium. Wouldn't have needed it if they f***ing won last week. What a missed opportunity to celebrate winning the title in front of your own fans.
