U2
Clark played DM for Villa occasionally Weird that, he's definitely not a DM in anyone's book.
Skeletor
Villa seemed to do a lot of shit things with him.
Tiresias
Was so excited to see this guy in our defence Can we go to a back 3?
morla84
Go full Tony Pulls and see what he's like at right back
nemtizz
But he's left footed. Doubt it'll work with him and Mbemba.
Infinitely Content
I think it's pretty clear him and Clark are our best centre backs. However our best partnership (at least at present) is Lascelles and Clark, partially because of Lascelles' determined attitude and leadership, but perhaps also due to the fact they create a balanced right footed/left footed pairing. What are peoples thoughts on having two left footed players at centre back? Doesn't matter? Takes some getting used to? I see Clark and Lejeune as both ball playing defenders, so I wonder who would play on the wrong side...

Gallowgate Toon
I'm pretty sure Lejeune is right-footed. I also really want to see him play more but he'll get his chance soon enough.

xLiaaamx
Lejuene is right footed. Also, Jamaal was a left sided centre back when he played with Mbemba. Wasn't until Clark came in that he moved side.

Don't see how that's clear considering he's played about a half an hour for us I think Lascelles is still very raw and has a lot of improving to do. It's perhaps naive of me, but the short amount I have seen Lejeune play, albeit pre-season and a small cameo against Spurs, he looks a fairly assured player and comes quite highly rated. khay
Wonder if he will get a start after Clark’s two games this week.
U2
Yeah, strong chance Rafa will have Lejeune prepping for the next game as a starter. The way he had Murphy prep and start the Swansea game.
joeyt
I'd be surprised if Lejeune started over Clark. He's got nearly a full week to recover after tonight's game. Atsu had a lot of traveling whereas Clark hasn't

Mole_Toonfan
I think he is too, purely based on pre season and a little bit of Spurs. Rafa obviously thought so too as he started the season, but even so Clark and Lascelles have earned their places till further notice.
The College Dropout
And then Lascelles has arguably been our best performer in the team. Which obviously changes things. At this point Clark is the closest to losing his place - and it's not likely. If they both stay fit and perform it might be a while before we see this lad which is kind of disappointing in a way. Infinitely Content
It's probably harsh on whoever misses out, Mbemba included. Lejeune just seems a really classy player from what I've seen, and obviously is much lauded from his time in La Liga & the fact City bothered to sign him. Think he's the real deal and will be a regular starter before the season is up
