Good time to cash in on him?

No one will want to hear it tonight, but it would be in the summer if we got a good offer.

Although if we get in the CL, then why would we need to?

Makes you wonder if wingers playing on the right side could make a comeback.

I don't think it's ever coming back. Just recently thought how ridiculous Robert would've been cutting in from the right with that left foot, he would've been scoring +20 goals a season.

In theory yes but don't think that'll ever happen. Think he's a lifer here. Probably not a great price, desperate to stay, ultra willing team player, probably cheap wages, big for morale. Makes too much sense to keep, over all.

What a ball for Gordon's goal. Top tier stuff.

That Savinho had a great game when switched to the left for Man City the other day aswell. Something to be said for good quality crosses. Is odd that something so common in the past got replaced almost exclusively by inverted wingers.

That being said I think if you have good quality overlapping full backs like Hall and Trippier (pre meltdown) then it kind of negates the need and you get best of both worlds if you have the inverted wingers then aswell who can cut inside and shoot.

Murphy has been a solid squady since Howe however and I think our win % when he starts over the last few years is really high. So he certainly brings a balance to the side and has a great relationship with Isak.

Had some dodgy moments where he held onto the ball a bit too long, but otherwise, blown away by how well he continues to play.

Seems to have really got a good sense of what his strengths and weaknesses are and so doesn't try to do too much for the most part.

Gets into really good positions and looks to deliver the ball into dangerous areas early and often.

Been a massive part of the turn around.

Part of me is feeling like if we brought a new RW now to replace Murphy, it'd just be a Tino Asprilla upsetting the squad balance situation all over again.

People overlook the squad harmony aspect of buying/selling players far to much

Its a very relevant point

Oddly thought he was our best attacker today albeit Ait Nouri can’t defend and they were overloading on the other side which allowed him space.

Thought oddly he put great balls into the right areas tonight and yet we had no one in the right areas to finish. Which means he should have got his head up and played to the right positions but also means the players expecting to receive the balls should have also ran to the right areas. I'd generally side with the former on that latter point.

There's something quite refreshingly simplistic about his game. I guess because nearly every side plays with inverted wingers these days you don't really see just that ball out of feet create half a yard for a cross or shot across goal much anymore.

Aye, an old school-ish centre forward (a certain C. Wilson comes to mind, but let's not go there) would have filled their boots on the back of those deliveries tonight
