Financial Fair Play is a joke.

We should just go all out now.

Don’t be daft. It’s actually helping us in reality as we are building more organically.

Benfica must be loving life at the moment, in the last few years they've sold:

Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea for €120M

Darwin Nunez to Liverpool for €80M

Ruben Diaz to Man City for €71M

Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid for €127M

Mental money

We will be asked to pay big sums in the future if we want a certain type of player, is this a Trevor Francis moment?

Possibly, while there have been a few mega money moves it has generally been limited, but this Chelsea guy has come in and gone all American sports on the transfers to get what he wants.

I do think this will have a negative effect on the league the way he is going and I would be worried if I was a Chelsea fan, it was all fun and games but once they started with these fees and contract lengths god knows what is coming next, sky high prices, friendly games all over the place, sponsorship going mad, and what happens when he gets bored, they aren't just a franchise he can sell to another city and billionaire.

Doubt it personally. Brighton will want to continue  there good season. They’ve sold enough this season.

Will his value go higher than that? And do they want a disaffected player for the rest of the season? Yes, it’s probably too late to bring in a quality replacement but it depends on whether they want to think longer-term or short-term

This one time I wish Brighton would deviate from their “If a player wants to leave, we won’t stand in his way” philosophy. Caicedo was the Bissouma replacement, and Bissouma only left in the summer ffs.
