How is that Luiz deal accounted for? Is it like a 40m book fee because of the added players? Or just 20m?

20m is piss poor imo. That’s a fire sale due to PSR no doubt.

McKennie - never been impressed and on big wages.

never heard of the other lad.

Shit deal.

That seems a crazy bad deal for Villa

Hopefully its a bad deal for Chelsea too seeing as they no doubt have a sell on % for Samuel but aye am not convinced Villa are getting a good deal at all.

Forget the specific players for a moment and you can see the potential appeal of a deal like this as it seems ripe for accounting shenanigans. There are a number of ways you could structure this, but I'm not sure what will be enforced.

Feel for Forest, they were haphazard but you can’t fault them for trying their best to build a side that could stay in the Premier League. It’s hard for them to attract quality players so they just threw money at it. It’s going to be an absolute nightmare for teams coming up from the Championship to compete in the PL with these regulations nowadays as most teams need a squad revamp when promoted to stand a chance of surviving

Aye. Pretty sure the PL prefer the Norwich, Sheff Utd approach though. Go down meakly, provide entertainment to overseas fans by allowing the big clubs to score 5-6 goals against them with ease. Lovely stuff.

So we’re happy for the Sinister Six to cannibalise their nearest upstart contenders? All good here, nothing to see in the World’s Most Competitive League.

Duran will go to Chelsea for an inflated price and Gallagher will go to Villa for an inflated price. Both win from a PSR perspective and the overall difference between values remains the same.
