Cameron Archer to Southampton for £15m.

So we've sold him to Sheffield United for £18m, with the agreement they pay £9m immediately, then if they went down, they could send him back and not pay the rest, which is what they did.

And now a year we've sold him again for £15m. £24m banked in total.

That's Monchi at work. The cunning fucker.

Not bad for 9m, will be interesting to see how he does

Peterborough United have a decent scout network TBF.

Ronnie Edwards, Ivan Toney, Dwight Gale, George Boyd, Lee Tomlin. Mclean and Mcail smith were good too.

I liked the look of him last season, very raw but think he can become a good player

Not sure about the price, seems a bit much

Crikey, that's a big spurt of money for such unproven end result.

Mad how Sterling is still only 29. Classic case of a player playing since they were 17, hitting 500+ games well before they are 30 and basically being cooked.

I feel similar may happen with Bellingham. He's only 21 but he's played 219 games already. Players bodies can only take so much regardless of age sometimes. Not always mind.

Giggs' body was rejuvenated by sampling the forbidden fruit.

Yep, especially in modern game where pressing and intensity is needed at top level. So players will drop off at an earlier age at the top, whereas the 00s you could still have wingers 33+ playing because it wasn’t the same press and intensity needed at the top.

Defending could be the opposite, where game is more possession less recovery sprints, you should ‘in theory’ be able to stay at top end into mid 30s.
