Where did Romano say this and how much is he saying the wages will be?

In his givemesport column. Said he wants an important salary but would be no different to other players like Cunha etc.

Of the new signings under INEOS, the highest paid has been De Ligt, who took a pay cut from £265k a week to £195k a week at us. That was a marquee signing from Bayern.

£180-200k will almost certainly be the range for Cunha and Mbeumo. There's no way he's getting £250,000. I'll eat my hat.

Must be so amusing when you negotiate with Man U and you just know they'll pay what you want, daft cunts!

Hope they holdout for at least £70m!

Gordon’s “blah blah blah” reaction to the original Liverpool rumours btw

So he wasn’t saying he’s been eating a few burgers?

Damn that might be it. Really does look like a “Laters Eddie la, I’m off to maccies” message.

This will confuse the Scousers. Give a player stick for walking away out of contract, yet the club say Diaz isn't for sale but won't give him a new deal? Works both ways.

Delap will be moving on in 12 months anyway, and that's the annoying part for me.

Wages will be a problem if he doesnt succeed there.

So quadruple the 45k he's on now is seemingly accurate

It's just Martin Hardy that mentioned 250k

Aye, Hardy started it, Alex Crook from TalkSport spread it. Now plenty of rags are running with it.

I've seen anything from £150k to £250k reported now.

who cares how much they pay him, y’all

The more they pay, the more hamstrung they’ll be later on trying to get rid of them and the more likely the players drop off and just take the wages.

They call him tight, but then suggest he'll offer huge wages. Got to pick one.

New signing gets £250k a week, £200k more than he got last season

Mary, from admin, gets 1 week's wages for every one year she grafted for Massive United as she's punted out the door

Both can be true of Brexit Jim

Is it? I'd expect Bruno with a CL bonus to be close to 200k. Any Isak extension would be there.

It is, because we can pay 200 000 for Isak, but not for Mbeumo.

I don't think the club will hand out a contract to a new signing which exceeds or even matches our current highest paid player. Not for a long time anyway.

I think most signings will come in under it with the intention that they then earn the pay rise to be our highest paid.

I think the total package in fee and wages for Mbeumo is clearly out of our current structure.

We don’t think Tonali joined as a highest earner or close?

Seems like he went from £75k a week in Milan to £120k a week here according to 'sources'. Well inside our pay structure and way below the £200-250k Mbeumo seems to ask.

Can't wait for Pep to have him tucked in centrally, playing 5 yard passes to Rodri.

Not allowed past half way.

Put him in my team of the season. Great signing.
