Enzo was massively overpriced and Caicedo I would consider a failure. Rice of course great, but I thought we'd moved past the era of £100m CMs.

I guess it doesn't matter if money is no object, but you don't need to pay that money for a really, really good CM.

I don’t think you watch football much.

I'm always called out first. I respond, and people can't take it. That's fact.

I've discussed how I feel about PSR properly when people aren't trying to be dicks about signings we made over half a decade ago.

Do I think we need PSR? Yes.

Do I think PSR benefits bigger clubs? Also yes.

Do I think PSR is solely to blame for the likes of Newcastle not being able to sign Mbeumo and Sesko for example? Absolutely not.

Sorry, not followed your previous opinions on this....but why do we need PSR?

Yes exactly.

If the roles were reversed @Froggy, would you be happy with current state of affairs? Or would you be happy your club grafting its way to the top? Would you mind clubs like Newcastle riding on past success and being a billion in debt. Whilst Man Utd had to sell Mainoo a year ago to comply with PSR. Its hard to put yourself in those shoes but try!

I sort of like the grafting aspect, the being clever aspect - it will make it all the more sweeter. However, what will happen when we finally win a title ... - "oh, just won it because of oil money".

You don't have to go back far to see that I didn't want to be owned by Qatar. And with PSR as it is and under Qatari ownership we could pretty much do whatever we liked in the transfer market. That opportunity was there, and the majority of our fans didn't want it.

I hope that answers your question.

Froggy, you seem a good lad, but your baiting posts over PSR and Man Utd are repetitive and a total snooze fest for everyone else.

give it a rest.

I agree it's repetitive. So stop mentioning my name in posts related to Man United and finances and I won't respond.

He's so boring man. Blocking him was the best thing I did on here.

Hmm i didnt mean by Saudi or Qatar owners - of course i detest that. But rich owners etc etc (basically dont worry about where the money comes from because this doesn't just affect our club... Aston Villa!?)

I'm just asking if you would agree with such strict rules if the roles were reversed. Rules that didn't exist in Man Utds rise to the top. Saying you wouldn't want to be owned by Saudi is avoiding the question.

I'm talking about the principle.

Easy for me to say now that I feel these rules are necessary to stop oil money and American businessmen destroying the sport. If my club was sitting on trillions and they couldn't spend it (well, all of it), I would imagine it would annoy me.

I'd like to think deep down that I would still agree with the principle of PSR though.

Yeah and i think thats the issue..if there were fairer restrictions rather than basing it on what a club can pull in moneywise due to unadulterated spending power way back when, i think id be more sympathetic..but these rules are there to keep us all under the thumb. The same spending cap for ALL clubs would suffice. But the sport is greedy so what can you do!

Surely they’ll have something to say if van Hecke ends up at Spurs. Thought they were trying to tell folk that they’re cracking down on this.

Would be classed as a "swap deal" like Osula/Ramsay's would have been, surely?

They’re just chancing their arm or the agent’s working because we’re in negotiations. I don’t see a world where we let Vuskovic go for anything that isn’t at least two times what Brighton have supposedly offered. They’re asking £70M for a guy in the last year of his contract, and Vuskovic is contracted through 2030.

The only principles of PSR are to stop anyone from challenging the cartel clubs. There might be a pretence otherwise, but in reality we've been shown that it's bullshit.

Aye that's utter bollocks. As is the cringey cartel term.

I wouldn't expect a supporter of a cartel club to say anything else.

Optimistic of Brighton to expect Minteh pricing from a club that isn't desperate due to PSR compliance.
