Football is fucked. Anderson is a tidy, tenacious player but fuck me man. Never in a million years is he a £120m player ffs.

Shitter we don’t have a sell on %.

Even more of a shitter is Howe knew he was elite and the club had to push him due to the damn right riddiculous rules. Makes last summer even worse if that’s even possible.

Possibly would get a solidarity payment?

Solidarity Payments (Solidarity Mechanism)

Purpose: Ensures that, if a player is transferred during the course of a contract, a portion of the transfer fee is shared with the clubs and academies that helped develop them. [1, 2]

How it is calculated: By FIFA rules, 5% of the total transfer fee is withheld from the selling club and distributed to the training clubs. [1, 2]

Distribution scale: This is based on the specific years the player was registered with the training club between the seasons of their 12th and 23rd birthdays. [1, 2]

How long it lasts: Unlike training compensation, solidarity payments follow a player throughout their entire professional career—meaning youth clubs receive a cut every time a player is sold for a fee while under contract. [1, 2]

These "top clubs" are so lazy and arrogant. They can't just think they can show up the minute a player does well at a "smaller club" and have them easily.

I like Marinakis. He is clearly really ambitious and actually wants to build a team that competes, and isn't just eager to flip players for big money. He totally gets it. Take these clubs to the cleaners when they come knocking.

I'm not sure a deal worth £120mil is them thinking they can have him easily...

What have Man City done wrong that they should have done differently?

Wonder why they decided to drop £300m in the last 2 windows plus another £100m+ on Anderson potentially?? It's almost as if they know they're going to get a transfer ban imminently and they want to spaff the lot before it kicks in is it's rendered meaningless...

Agree with your second point.

It's just their first offer right?

Also, Man City were happy to inflate their incomes to ridiculous levels and are seemingly going to get away with it, with the ever pending ruling on their 115 charges.

Every window they go out and spend 100s of millions without feeling it. If that's their first offer, then keep pushing back until the end of the window and get the most favourable terms possible, as Forest are seemingly not desperate to sell and provided Anderson isn't being a nuisance about things behind the scenes.

These clubs have all the advantages and have made it difficult for everyone else, and so spoil things as much as possible for them also, or at least get the most that you possibly can as far as you can go.

The window isn't even open yet. Let them work harder for the deal.

Wouldn't think Tonali's wife would be that keen on Manchester? She'll want London or back to Milan, surely.

Wouldn't blame Tonali if he demands a City move if a Milan or London club don't come in for him.

Love Tonali but if they offer £100 million id take their hands off

Second - they started at 80.

Okay, so they've gone up by £40 million already. In what a week or so?! Before the window has even opened

Let them keep going.

Just waiting for Froggy to do mental gymnastics regarding Sancho fee and how actually Man Red profited from the transfer

I've only ever criticised that transfer to be fair.

Waiting on you lot doing the mental gymnastics on how you had to trade Elliot Anderson for a shite keeper and that it was the cartel that made you do it.
