Bimpy474
Financial fair play is utter bollocks then It's all the TV money man, everyone's got this much, including us. The TV money can't explain the transfer fees and wages, shirley ? It's over 100m. We got £120m in TV money for 17/18 Surely Fulham can't be within FFP, they've gone mental, what they bring in to what they spend, they haven't had any of the TV money yet have they, possibly £40m like we did in July but this is nuts. Tubestationatmidnight
How have Everton got rid of apart from Rooney and Klaassen? Their squad must have about 40 players Chelsea too. Only play one striker and they have morata giroud batshuyai. Abraham won't even make the bench so don't know where he will end up

No they haven't had the money yet, and we used that excuse not to spend any money last summer - didn't even bother with making up another lie this year. The money is guaranteed, and if they stay up, which they have an extremely good chance of doing now, they'll guarantee themselves another £100m+. Other clubs pay in instalments so they don't need £60m at their fingertips to spend that much money. They know they'll get it in due course so it's fine, as long as they don't go down of course, even then the parachute payments take the edge off so much now that it poses little threat, especially with big assets to sell in the event of relegation. We insist on paying all at once so we can plead poverty in the press.

Leek
I really dont know why the majority of clubs thought it would be a good idea to shut the window before the 1st game I dont see any additional benefit from closing it 3 weeks earlier when the rest of europe still have it open
TRon
what's the craic with Spurs anyway Another club with a very dodgy way of doing business. They've been lucky their signings worked out well for the most part, but something's not right there.

GeordieDazzler
Did Watford sign that cunt for £60m that was being touted? Nope, got some lad on loan from West Ham for 1m They've not done much business, only player they've spent significant money on is Deloufu.
Ketsbaia
Dumb idea to start the earlier-closing transfer windows in a World Cup year. An even dumber idea to turn a net profit when you have the same money pot as everyone else
xLiaaamx
Burnley's business reeks of being terrified of altering the squad in case some minor change stops them peforming above their level like they have been.

Guest
Fulham seem to have had a similar summer to when they came up in 2001 when they spent big (at the time!) on the likes of Marlet, Malbranque, Legwinski & van der Sar.
TaylorJ_01
Fulham signing loads of "ok" guys from all over the place. Not entirely convinced it'll work, but we'll see.
