If that's how you took it, then fair enough. I thought I explained it for the layman, but evidently not.

Hojlund is 3 years younger than Isak. How many goals did Isak score 3 years ago? 10. How many goals has Hojlund got this season when people believe he's been atrocious? 10.

It was simply a discussion on potential, and how Hojlund had time on his side.

Isak missed most of that season though.

His last season in La Liga. 2021-2022. Isak was 21/22 years old. 41 apps, 10 goals.

Please don't take this as me thinking Hojlund is or will be anywhere near as good as Isak. I don't believe it for a second, but he has time on his side to become far, far better. That time is dwindling though.

The season before that though he had one of the highest scoring seasons for an under 21 in la Liga history. So...

Rodrygo is balance with output. Real Madrid selling him is a dumb move, because to get someone that selfishly works hard to offer balance whilst contributing his output will be hard to replace. Side will become unbalanced in attack like we’ve seen PSG over the years.

He doesn’t work that hard and he’s not a RW.

He joined 24 other players who scored 17+ goals at 21 or under in La Liga.

Last season Hojlund joined 25 other players who scored 10+ at 21 or under in the Premier League, and that was his first season in the league and he missed 8 games due to injury.

Also, @healthyaddiction Isak played 8 games in Europe that season, scoring 0. Hojlund played 6 games in the Champions League and scored 5. So...

Guardiola is a cheque book manager these days. At least Mourinho did it at Porto and Inter! Guardiola can only do it when everything is stacked in his favour.

Man City have had a relatively disappointing season, so they're going to buy their way out of trouble once again...having already spunked £200m in January. Sickening.

Feels like we’re going to be getting back to seeing a massive window league-wise with all the talk there’s been. Should be a canny summer.

Yeah I expect massive spending this summer. Seems like all of the big clubs need to invest to remain competitive.

Makes me think that prices will be pushed up as a result of this as they are all targeting the same profile

I reckon if we win the Europa League and manage to shift Rashford/Sancho etc. then we'll spend £200m+

On absolute shite probably.

Wirtz to City? I hope not! Sounds like Reijnders too probably. Piss off!

FFP working exactly as planned. Those 115 charges aren’t really a deterrent are they? Whilst they got £100m back for Alvarez, Cancelo and Harwood-Bellis, this is pretty obscene.

Why are we wanting City to get charged? Aren’t they one of our allies in terms of showing how ridiculous FFP is? If they get off scott-free then that opens up the door for our owners to inflate our commercial deals (should they want to) and go ape in the transfer market.

Oh I’m all for them winning to bloody the PL and Cartel even more. But the baked in construct of the Cartel rules is what pisses you off.

Yup. Let them get it and then challenge it legally and bring the house down.

Ornstein saying that Liverpool have contacted Wirtz’s entourage too.

Keeping them away from Isak if they’re spunking that much on Wirtz

I couldn’t care about City charges being nothing if they keep spending the amounts they are on the players they have so far. They’re assembling a VERY average squad.

 his agent has been desperately getting them to sign him for ages.

Definitely giving Fab Romano money to promote his client

Well even they can’t go out and buy an elite ready made team anymore. Imagine De Bruyne, Silva, Aguero in the current market 150m each.

They got to gamble like the rest of us.

But like... they actually can.

I don't know why they don't want to sign top ballers like they used too. PSG have the team City should.  Kvara, Doue, Joao Neves - lots of money but not obscene that Man City haven't spent.

They are going to spend Joao Neves money and more on Morgan Gibbs-White.

It's horrible scouting.
