We tried to keep Rafa, but we couldn’t match his ambition with the funding required to challenge for the top 4 in the premier league.

We’d like to put our thanks on record for the work Rafa has done over the last three years, and we now look move on and forward to a bright future with the welcome return of Sam Allardyce.

If Ashley sticks to his way of buying then Rafa's a gonna, end of next season at the latest imo. Rafa wants to buy players to win things no matter their age, along with paying sometimes over the odds and a bit more in wages. Their age/price/wages aren't as important as winning trophies and building the club to compete with the best in the league for Rafa. (And i don't mean going in with ridiculous prices/wages on older players, just sensible stuff)

If Ashley sticks to the buy to sell on model then we're fucked, too far away from the manager wants to achieve. Ashley as we've all said before isn't interested in winning, just making more and more money off the back of Newcastle United, he's the leech that has never drained enough blood.

While the fat idiot is here nothing will change and we'll just look on in frustration and anger and what could be.

sign dubravka now, and have 4 keepers on the books?  what is this fucking madness, no we'll try and peddle elliot and darlow for inflated fees then make up some bullshit when another team snaps dubravka up for a song

think of the wages saved, never mind the transfer fee

Don't be daft. We'll sign him sharpish then look to peddle Sels to anderlecht at the same time. One of darlow or elliot will probably leave during the window, whichever we get the best offer for (probably darlow)

You jest, but don't forget the cunt literally said that he thinks we expect to compete with Manchester City.

imagine if we could just have a normal summer, club announce all is agreed and everyone happy...sign dubs as soon as the window opens, couple more in before the end of june, couple more in july etc. and all set for a decent preseason

Honestly i'll be interested to see how fast clubs react this summer, considering the WC and the whole transfer window closing before the season starts thing.

Obviously we'll do fuck all as per but everyone else i wonder how fast it's going to happen.

Add a splash of Wade Wilson too.

Love the way everyone in the press keeps talking about this 'huge' £6m buy out clause, forgetting that Joselu cost £6m.

Suddenly makes it seem a much smaller amount of money in football terms.
