Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

If they were ok with Saudi  money they'll  be ok with his.

  I think if people want a takeover they should maybe put politics to one side.

Especially since Desmond isn't going to be our new owner, as far as I can tell he's just a mutual friend who was there as a facilitator.

This is probably a stupid question but couldn't Ashley and Staveley agree to the club obtaining a loan from an external third party (ie a bank) to assist January ahead of a takeover? That way Ashley doesn't have to put any of his own money in, and Staveley can settle it at her leisure further down the line. Basically just like any other football club without a billionaire owner would do.

Such as Richie Desmond?

We deserve this, all the good korma we've built up over the years.

There's been two or three weak attempts at puns and they haven't taken off so far. God willing it stays that way.

Needless pun jab.

 superb

If what I've just been told is true, and I have no reason to doubt otherwise, we could be in for an interesting couple of weeks in January.

If what I have been told is true we will have a exciting day tomorrow.  :frantic:

Doubt it is thought
