He's ultra cautious with rotations anyway, obviously he's took a knock during the game. Like how he played Lascelles all last season when Lascelles was injured and Lascelles admitted he played through injury? Rafa is great but he's not perfect. I don't think there was any risk of the injury worsening last season, it was just painful for Lascelles. I don't think Rafa would have played Lascelles in this game if he believed there was any great chance of him going off injured like. We’ve been fucking hindered for years of limping out of this competition with a whimper after some woeful team selections and some even more woeful performances. This is an in-form team we’re playing against and our acadamy and development players are fucking useless, we’d have probably have lost this with a weakened team. Or, got a replay that would then negatively impact on our season. Happy to risk an injury if it gives us the chance of actually being a competitive football club. Pathetically short-sighted.
