Lush Vlad
I would personally still have Pope back in. But at the same time, he’s not really done anything wrong? I don’t think he was flappy at all and had a solid game.

wormy
I don't think there was a single set piece I was genuinely worried about. Maybe that's Dubs. Maybe it's their set piece nonce getting found out for the fraud he is. Maybe a mix. But it's another clean sheet. Good man.
Paully
Seven clean sheets in 11 matches and the defence look much more confident with him behind them! Edited February 6, 2025 by Paully
jackyboy
On one occasion he had the ball trapped between his feet, an Arsenal player on top of him and he still managed to clear it. Pope would have panicked and possibly lost it. Dubs is far more comfortable with the ball at his feet than Pope and it's becoming more and more important for goalkeepers to have that ability

wormy
Won the Premier League save of the month. What a turnaround for this guy.
Shearergol
Currently better than Pope has been this season. Need a new keeper in summer though.

Lush Vlad
Just now, SUPERTOON said: Injured apparently, think Pope was likely to start tonight anyway. I thought it was gamesmanship all that carry on from him against Arsenal. They used to always do it with their keeper after 15-20 mins if they’d not scored. Clearly a tactical ploy. I know we’ve done it at times, as well. Agree. I thought Pope was starting tonight regardless.

Maggies
We need a new #1 keeper in the summer but Dubravka is a decent enough #2. Pope will be sold.

Yorkie
Hopefully those quotes put to bed some of the daftness about his loyalties. He's had a pretty remarkable turnaround this season really. If he doesn't feature last season then we almost certainly get into Europe, now he's possibly first choice for as long as he's fit. Didn't see it coming at all. Lush Vlad
Either we really are struggling badly with PSR and Pope and Dubravka might both stay. Or we are selling Pope whilst he has some value and looking to bring in Trafford/a new keeper. If Dubravka is our number one to start next season. It would be pretty uninspiring.
