I kinda feel sorry for him. He was good, one of the key reasons why we stayed up last few seasons. But Popes unreal performance and the drama last summer completed destroyed his value to the club.

I don’t miss him for one bit, that’s my genuine feeling , which is a bit disrespect to his work to the club.

One of the things with Dubravka is that when he's been out of the side he always seems to need a run of games before he's up to full speed and in decent again. He's never getting that there, is he?

As predicted. He's such a slow starter.

Surprised the stick he's getting like. Pope is class and has turned into a clear upgrade but he saved us time and time again while he was here and was very good end of last season.

The irony as well that our first goal on the last day at Burnley came about from Pope flapping at a corner and their defender conceding a penalty. Wonder if we'd have got him so cheap or went for him in the first place if they'd not went down.

I don't remember him as a 'slow starter'. My memory is that when he arrived, he made an instant impact, looking very confident and inspiring his other defenders. A bit like Dan Burn last season.

However, when he came back from injury, that positive spark seemed to have gone. He's looked hesitant ever since. Those two jittery mistakes last night seemed a far cry from the dominating presence that really saved us from relegation that season.
