He has helped the games be easier with how composed he is and his distribution.

Very few, if any, easy balls given away resulting in chances created by the opposition.

He has also done very well in the few times he's been called upon. Part from maybe one or two set pieces today.

I know i’m his biggest fan but we look a better team with him in nets! His distribution is miles better than Pope’s and starts us loads of early attacks!

Aye, when we’re dominating games it’s fine. When we find ourselves in a situation where it’s backs against the walls, that’s where we’ll miss Pope. Hopefully we don’t find out though!

It almost feels like a perfect storm with us figuring things out with Tonali and being able to control games a lot more than we had been. It's like we're seeing what could be with a goalkeeper more composed on the ball, even if all other attributes are worse than Pope's.

As you say, the big test comes when we have much bigger questions asked of us by the opposition.

There’s no question you’d rather have Pope trying to save shots than Dubravka.

Is Trafford good enough to keep the shots out than Pope? Haven’t seen enough tbh.

I was going to say the same, Now that we no longer have a black hole in midfield with Tonali working well to protect the defence it gives a preview of what will come, I do think we need to upgrade Pope in the summer and move Dubs out to pasture.

Dubravka enables us to play further up in possession in our build up, as he is so comfortable on the ball. He adds an extra player to get round any sort of press from the opposition too.

Pope means we can be more aggressive off the ball and squeeze higher up out of possession or when we’re deep in their half. As his starting position is so much further from his line and he still sweeps up well. Albeit not as well as the 4th placed season.

The latter still walks straight back in when fit, for me. Both have their deficiencies. But Pope is a much better goalkeeper. Dubravka only beats him when it comes to the ball at feet. The last three games have been perfect for him. Due to us barely conceding a meaningful chance.

Like a lot of our players. Pope does need upgrading in the short to medium term. But I still think RW and RCB take priority.

He's looked a lot better than last time he deputised for Pope but he couldn't really have had an easier few games to bed in. Definitely better with the ball at his feet than Pope is but we knew that anyway.

Let's see how he does on Monday night. As bad as Man Utd are they'll always have a spell at Old Trafford where they put the opposition under pressure so we'll see how he goes then.
