Guest covmag
Sunderland to Bordeaux is a huge step up and any mackem who even thinks of saying otherwise is purely out to wind people up Maja couldn’t wait to run from Ross and the diddy men, they may struggle to go up automatically now. Is Lee Lee Lee still fleecing them out of £40k per week
Cookie1892
Seeing a lot of tweets suggesting he's committing career suicide by moving from Sunderland to Bordeaux. Mentalists. Playing Accrington, Walsall etc against playing PSG, Lyon, Marseille While true, he won't be anywhere near the first team at Bordeaux. Why not? I'd use the logic that he's nowhere near as good as Adam Armstrong and arguably no better than Ivan Toney and neither of them would. have a word man
leffe186
The world outside Sunderland is all scary and different though, I hear in France they don’t even have Carling or Listen to New Monkey. As for the hero thing? Laughable, he’s been racially abused this season despite being their top scorer and he’s regularly whinged at for only scoring goals and not being a hard case. Quick, paint him as greedy as he’s not a real English like us mackems. Definitely not that Bordeaux played three times as many games in Europe this season alone than real English Sunderland have in their history, are in a cup SF, play in a real league and France has a history of producing and enhancing young players into world class players. absolutely 100% spot on Not quite 100%. He missed the bit where Maja gets to live and work in Bordeaux instead of Sunderland, which would be pretty high up my list.

joeyt
And a blunt statement from his old club https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/january/maja-joins-bordeaux Sunderland also owe Bordeaux money frm the Khazri deal so won;t get all of the Maja money
Benwell Lad
And a blunt statement from his old club https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/january/maja-joins-bordeaux Sunderland also owe Bordeaux money frm the Khazri deal so won;t get all of the Maja money They may be getting nothing as someone said the fee doesn't cover the outstanding amount they still owe for Khazri. Also sounds like the Bordeaux coach knew next to nothing about the deal - almost as if it was pushed from the Sunderland side to help reduce the outstanding debt ?? Perhaps The Don and Poshboy aren't being totally straight when they're wooing the masses
geordiedean
How come these don't play today or midweek??
Guest covmag
I believe the chancer Donald has just tweeted to the effect they will get no money from Maja as they still owe money all over the place They could just fuck promotion up after all
geordiedean
I believe the chancer Donald has just tweeted to the effect they will get no money from Maja as they still owe money all over the place They could just fuck promotion up after all Results go as expected today they could be down to 5th with Donny catching up. Yes they will have games in hand but if they hit a bit of a blip they could easily see themselves out of a play off place Now wouldn't that just be lovely because if they don't go up this season then they could be stuck in that division for years
frankpingel
If the finances are as tight as is becoming clear even if they manage promotion this year they'll be in another relegation dogfight next season.

No debt whatsoever, we were told hundreds of times, remember?
Benwell Lad
Was surprised when I checked the odds that they are only fourth favourites for the league behind Luton, Pompey and Barnsley, what with their wage bill and "our fans" and "everybody's cup final" and all that .... Bimpy474
How come these don't play today or midweek?? Maybe no opponent to play as their scheduled opponent is in the FA Cup ? Then the Football league hasn't rearranged a league game, i would think.

BergenMagpie
How are their finances now? Will they still get another parachute payment next season? Even if they would get promoted they would struggle massively in the Championship next season if they dont invest heavily
Scoot
I'm sure do the don is a bit thick. He just said in 1 tweet they are debt free then in the next tweet said they still owed 5 million for players they no longer own. Some of the mackems must be saying to him "something doesn't add up" as he seems to be getting defensive.
