gjohnson
Doesn't seem that long ago that was watching Sunderland/Everton in the pub with my mate. 5 pints later, and we were relegated - felt so f***ing low. And look at things now. Mackems are beyond f***ed, and we're (hopefully) going to be taken over. You just knew this was going to happen though, same as our first relegation. All we needed to do was get promoted and it was a foregone conclusion that we'd be regularly above them in the table. but but but we're classier and have more football friends (RTGtastic) Aye but 6inarow marrs

Chris_R
If they do it now, does the season count as finished? Ie I think if it does, the points go on next season's tally. If not, it goes on this season. There's a cutoff, anyway, be interesting to see which side they're on if they do file for administration.

EFL rules say clubs who go into administration will receive a 12-point deduction and that has now been confirmed in Wigan’s case. As Div three is over surely amy points deduction would carry over
Chris_R
I suspect you're right, but the league isn't over, because the playoffs haven't finished. I wasn't absolutely sure where the line was.

Chris_R
Imagine being so obsessed with your rivals that despite facing administration and just finishing in your lowest ever league position in the 3rd tier of football, all you can think to get riled about is that you think your rivals over-rate their former CL-winning manager. What a weird planet they live on.

manorpark
No source at all but Rumours circulating that Sunderland AFC might be going into administration. No rumours, but the absolute simple logic of their financial situation, now and ongoing, is that administration is almost inevitable.
