It does indeed leave a bad taste but it also highlights that the teams we picked up points against were soft as shite. Watford are very average but have strong players. We’re being bullied all over the pitch. It’s embarrassing. Yeah, Shame we will likely miss out on a top 10 finish, but the players will miss out on a nice bonus by doing so. It also highlights which players Rafa can rely on and where he needs to strengthen. At the end of the day we have achieved our target and enjoyed the season on a whole. They are afterall just sacrificing their own positional bonuses. Still a shite performance but I’m struggling to be angry about it, which is a weird feeling that I’ve not had in years because we’re usually scraping around for results at this time of year. Whoever wrote that piece about signing 3 players, (Golovin, Kenedy and King) would transform the team, well not saying it wouldn’t help but we have holes all over the squad. Manquillo needs to be moved on. Murphy seems to be a dud. Gayle makes no impact on games. Ayoze runs around like a headless chicken and for the most part never picks the right pass. Diame looks knackered. Shelvey only played well when there was a sniff of getting in the England squad, reverted to form now. Kenedy.. no way he’s worth more than 20m but we are so much worse without him. Dubravka... might not be all that after all. So much to do this summer... Takes a corner, runs back to get it on the edge of our box, then runs forward again supporting the attack he just initiated.
