You get the feeling Spain can turn it on whenever they like. Many seem to dislike watching them but I reckon they know exactly what they're doing in terms of playing at their own pace waiting for an opening. Definite favourites for me.

I also enjoy these games where one team is quite clearly better and the other has to drop deep and defend. It's enthralling imo.

He was moving his arm down, then put it back up once it went over his head man.

Knew exactly what he was doing.

He was gesturing after that it hit his head  such a prick.

Yep. Missed the header so stuck his arm up. He knew that he could try and appeal that it wasn't meant (see Mandoon & neesy...) but that was blatant.

He hoyed is hand up in the air way longer than normal. FWIW, the rule is wrong.

It should be something about an "obstructive hand in an unreasonable position".

Deliberate means you have to be a mindreader, which is bollocks.

I mean hes facing the other way. I don't really get what handball is these days.

How many times, handball doesn't need to be deliberate.

How many times, did I actually say it did?

Where does it say that handball doesn't have to be deliberate, because I see nothing on the FA site in the rules.

exactly the law literally says this:

Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with the hand or arm.

he position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an offence

he movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand)

Areet then, smartarse.

In this instance his arm being deliberately outstretched clearly constitutes an offence, even if he hasn't intentionally directed hand to ball. :pow:

Russia defending really well. Spain playing too slow.

Chronic lack of pace across whole Spanish team.
