I’m sure the club would’ve preferred that except Anderson was the one who anyone wanted and could raise some money.

We have a habit of thinking potential buyers don't know why we want to sell the ones we want to sell.

Pretty much all his best traits are off the ball to be fair. His work rate, winning possession, pressing and covering for others and dragging opposition to create space. Most of his best performances tend to come against better sides.

I mean he was poor by even his own standards on the ball yesterday but even at his best technically he's never been great. He was a very useful cog in the wheel for a while though.

It’s a hangover from the Ashley era that he’s even here TBH. We’ve had a lot of these players over the years who really are lucky to be playing PL football.

I actually had made up my mind not to slag him off this year

We should not sell Longstaff - he will be very important next season if we qualify for Europe. He will cost the same to replace.

We have Miley there.  I like longstaff but he’d be the first I’d sell. What we get would be pure profit and we have Miley ahead of him

you got a point. Is it then better to keep Longstaff and sell Willock?

Maybe keep all 3 and strengthen other positions and raise money from sells and wage reduction in the summer

out:

Miggy (maybe now)

Targett

Lascelles

Trippier

Wilson

Kelly

Vlachodimos

Pope or Dubravka?

Lewis

He's literally Moyes at Everton all over

Id rather he was Moyes at West Ham. Or Moyes at Crystal Palace or Moyes at Fulham. I know Longstaff is marmite with our fans but whilst his ability may be limited you can never knock his effort and he’s clearly tried his hardest to make the most of what he’s got. He’s clearly never been a pick of bother whilst he’s been here and given us some moments that any NUFC fan could dream of. (PSG, Southampton in the semis). I’d just rather he went somewhere that wasn’t Everton.
