We have a habit of thinking potential buyers don't know why we want to sell the ones we want to sell.

Pretty much all his best traits are off the ball to be fair. His work rate, winning possession, pressing and covering for others and dragging opposition to create space. Most of his best performances tend to come against better sides. 

 

I mean he was poor by even his own standards on the ball yesterday but even at his best technically he's never been great. He was a very useful cog in the wheel for a while though.

It’s a hangover from the Ashley era that he’s even here TBH. We’ve had a lot of these players over the years who really are lucky to be playing PL football. 
 

I actually had made up my mind not to slag him off this year
