Been our best defender in my life time all things considered. Might not be, but at his age, if the injury is as serious as it could be then it's unlikely the club would renew him. Unless they wanted to reward him for his service but don't think clubs can afford to be that sentimental these days due to all the psr bullshit. Displayname Posted January 8 Share Posted January 8 If it's a bad injury (season ender) that should mean it was his last game with us, as harsh as that sounds. Legend or not, we can't be nursing people at the tail end of their career back in form. That playtime would be better utilized getting a new player settled in. We are currently down to two fit CBs, one of which is horrendously injury prone. Another of our CBs will be 34 next season. Extending for another year is a no brainer IMO.
