I tore my ankle ligaments on my 21st birthday, going down the cobbled bank to the quayside after a mate jumped on my back and I tried to balance. BHM, been out since 12, happenws stroud. 9. Full of substances, stated out till 3. Woke up the next day and was on crutches for 3 months.

Happy days.

:milner:

Why did we start talking about ankle injuries :anguish:

My non-sport one (think it was about the 3rd) was just loading stuff into my car when moving house. Stepped on the edge of the path while carrying a heavy box. Then I had to drive from London to Newcastle immediately

Lucky it's normally the left one that goes.

Doesn't get injured if Howe doesn't play him.

That's on Ross Wilson for keeping Howe and on Hopkinson for appointing Wilson.

Little did I realise it was the warm up act for a lifetime of gout! 😂 🙈

Why I drive an automatic. 50/50 if I get gout I can still drive.

So out for " about to three months" according to Eddie speaking to BBC Newcastle. Good news that we may see him back this season after all I guess, but hopefully we are looking at bringing a defender in or any further setback could seriously derail our season.

Fucked up that Schar & Burn have picked up impact injuries. They were bullet proof last season (more games this season aye but these arent muscle injuries)

Particularly unfortunate given that I believe Burn is still our best CB defensively, and Schar is the best all-rounder at the club.

We miss them both immensely, certainly for their ability, but perhaps even more so for their personalities.

When I think of Howe's Newcastle at their best, Schar's long range passes into the wide areas, behind the opposition full back were such a huge facet of our game. Thiaw and Botman just don't have that ability.

Out til ~April per the latest from Hope. After March 22 there are only 7 league games left. He's effectively not an option for the rest of the season.

Champions League and FA Cup Finals though….
