Mike Ashley (former owner) (still alive)

Recommended Posts

His price is £10m more than whatever anyone offers.

The flaw in this very simple argument so many like to put forward is this:

Word gets around, and if that is what has happened repeatedly, for over 10 years, then there must be a huge queue of insanely gullible billionaires out there. Which there isn't. Ashley isn't that clever. They would all know he has no interest in selling. He is however clever enough to plant a few silly stories in the press and have people believe his shit (see:BZG).

At the same time if there is no takeover discussion going on behind the scenes, why not just come out and deny it? What would they gain, or what have they gained by being in cahoots with Ashley to pump out a load of rubbish?

It’s only been created for the boxing match they are hosting.

I don’t really care what it’s for but If it was for boxing surely they’d have made it for the AJ Ruiz fight they sponsored

They have also invested a in few UK groups this week.

I think it will be more of a case of having so they have a visible presence in the western world and the media.

Just like the planes, people are trying to put cubes in the triangle shaped holes.

Well the rumoured purchase of NUFC has certainly helped create a visible presence.

it's clearly not as simple as the above because every bid will be different, the price likely different depending when the bid is made, and the conditions he's asking for will likely change based on the nature of the bids

he's not been leaking false stories for 10 years man

It's safe to say that I speak for every fan when I say this one felt different to the other 15 takeover attempts.

We all know how desperate Ashley is to get rid of this money making machine and advertising platform for his major brand, but once again his time was wasted and the media scuppered this definitely happening this time takeover.

This is why I'm suggesting a protest over the club's ownership and media's handling of our takeovers. I'm calling it the #bringandburnyourchronicletatthematch match protest. Season tickets are available for £600 and Chronicle subscription will set you back £200.

Let's show we will no longer sit by and support these people!!!

Bloody Tyrekickers again eh? Who saw that coming.

Bet they only have about a trillion dollars in the bank.

See, Ian, may I call you Ian?  Good.  Well, Ian, you just don't comprehend the complex financial dealings of the super rich.  Complex means hard to understand by the way, sorry.  They may seem like they have a lot of money but really it's, what's that stuff you common folk put on your hovels?  Wallpaper.  That's it, wallpaper.  It's all wallpaper and while they may have enough wallpaper to paper Mars (that's a planet), unfortunately using that wallpaper to buy things like football players or training grounds or even whole football clubs is a little silly, don't you think?

Glad we could have this chat.

You mean the free ticket mags, who sing Bruceys name and boo the players aren't putting pressure on the fat man to sell?Well I was convinced that would work.

Crowdfunding a radgie to stab MA is by far the best plan I've heard.
