Bin Zayed Group's change of tact

It is noticeable how the Bin Zayed Group are a little quieter since the world learnt of Sheikh Khaled’s interest in buying Newcastle United last month.

After releasing two statements in a matter of days last month, no formal comments have been issued by BZG - even after Monochrome Acquisitions Ltd was registered as a new company last week.

Even with last week’s Eid celebrations in mind, perhaps this is a sign that Sheikh Khaled is moving away from this takeover saga playing out in public. That will go down well with Mike Ashley.

It’s also ‘change of tack’, not ‘change of tact’ ffs

newsted[/member] will have a coronary if he sees that.

They spend months in the process without saying a word, the Sun gets hold of it so they release statements around the press furore, job done they go back to just getting on with it.

In this months long process they've released statements in one week and that was because it had come out in the press yet these fuckers are going on like they've been chatty as hell up til now and have just decided to shut up.

all quiet on the western front now. July 1st we announce Rafa has left after no one from the club even contacted him and Ashley announces the group from Dubai have wasted his time time he could have spent in the boozer chucking up into fireplaces. We then announce Mark Hughes can have every penny generated by the club as we announce Jason Puncheon as our to summer signing

Happy days incoming

Bumped into my bloke at the club today. Says nobody knows anything but they all get the feeling that the club are planning to be sold. No transfers will happen because of this (as if we didn’t know) he did say that Rafa wasn’t in the best of moods at the training ground. Probably out of sheer frustration I’d guess.

Is it possible the takeover drags on till past the transfer window and we go into the new season with no manager and no new players ?

What a convenient takeover that would be for the fat one. September comes and he fucks off the time wasters

For what it's worth, my best bet is that they've agreed on the fee for the club as stated in the press release, but everything is now bogged down with extracting the club from the relationship it has with Sports Direct, which I'm sure Ashley is very reluctant to do.

Would people take a takeover but with Sports Direct still involved with the club, ie advertising in the stadium and merchandise still tied up in shit?

It’s a step closer to recovery.

Yes, not like we have a choice.

Don't think BZG would go for that as there is a new kit supplier deal coming up and the sponsership one also which would be very lucrative if the right owners are in charge
