Well black friday it is

The day we realise there is no takeover. And we are stuck with Ashley for a long time yet.

Steve Bruce appointed manager after having in place a great bloke who had ambition and passion for the club

Today is a dark day in the history of NUFC

Which begs the question: Why tell the world you have concluded a deal when you don't have the cash or the means to raise it?

It was similar with all the others before them. I dont get what you get out of what was described as ploys to get their names out there and some publicity. Not when it makes you look like incompetent businessmen/women.

Again.. when its multiple takeover stories that end the same there is one common factor.

It's mental that people think the buyers are the problem like.

It's been the same story every time and people still buy it.

Just what ashley wants, and the fact these people believe it was 'no funds' or 'tyre kickers' rather that 'ashley moves goalposts and wants to keep his grip on the club' means he can do it all again.

Owned by a billionaire with nee money.

Subject to countless failed bids by billionaires and consortiums who also have nee money.

Mike won't sell to anyone unless they have NUFC's best interests at heart ;D whilst he proceeds to bareback us for 12 years.

And now a human cabbage is our manager.

If it wasn't for bad luck we'd have none at all.

Would never happen, but I would love nothing more than a journalist to ask Bruce during his introductory press conference how he feels about being offered the job after 5 other managers allegedly turned it down first.

Or how he sees himself as the man to take the club forward after Rafa was let go for wanting the same.

Who want's to buy the club now after all this?

The clubs reputation must have taken a real hit and the value must have dropt alot after this schambles!

No Rafa, no Perez, no Rondon, Bruce(if he takes the job) on a contract. There's alot of things that makes the value drop.

But then again, Ashley will put a higher price on the club for a future interessted buyer.

Or simply why he is willing to take the job under all the restrictions Ashley puts to the job.

I hope people take to the training ground when he's getting the whistle stop tours of the inflatables and ice wheelie bins.

Not to go at Bruce per se, but to protest the complete dereliction of duty by the heirarchy at NUFC.

Does everyone feel the same? Like sacking Rafa and appointing Bruce is typical Ashley, but still actually gobsmacked Steve bruce is replacing Rafa?

He doesn't want to sell, the club is serving the purpose for which he bought it for perfectly.

His only job is to string us along to keep the club afloat for him.

This.

And to take out millions for his own benefit.

Oliver Kay of the times:

"For all the groans that have greeted news of the approach for Bruce, Newcastle’s supporters should perhaps be thankful for the small mercy of an experienced manager willing to entertain the idea of trying to clear up the mess."

Prontonising bollocks.

That's like saying you should be grateful when someone smashes your house up completely but then hires the surviving chuckle brother to try and tidy it up

I hate this rhetoric, "Newcastle should be grateful we even let them in our league considering they are in Scotland"
