I get he’s divisive,  he’s at his worst at the minute when people are having a go and he’s blatantly prodding people on purpose which is a shame as it detracts from him being an actually good reliable, journalist.

For the god damn millionth time, @9Shearergol[/member], we are really only sellable in the PL. MA has thrown cash at relegation and is 2/2. He will no doubt try it again if we go down. Based on how he has valued this club and his desire to win any deal, there is no gty that’s he sells if we fall into Championship, league 1 or league 2. Then when you fall into those - who’s not to say you get the same owner that Blackpool or Sunderland have?

While this is true, I don't think that means that we should necessarily want to stay up. Ashley has had plenty of time to sell the club, doesn't look like he's going to. Therefore I'd be quite happy to see him lose a lot of money and look like a failure in public.

Agree with this

The French journalist was implying that Genesio is the UAE prospective owners choice, rather than an MA alternative to Bruce.

So Ashley is appointing Bruce even though he's selling the club and Bruce will be immediately sacked? Starting to think this might not be true.

Not this fantasy garbage again

Have they got Mourinho lined up to carry his bags while Keegan watches?

While Sir Bobby says go on bonny lad from heaven.

Really unpopular opinion but I quite like Edwards. I don’t think he’s always right or agree with what he says but he doesn’t try and pander to the fans and when he says something his sources are usually spot on. He doesn’t seem to hang on the coat tails of other journalists’s speculation that most of the north east journos do.

It’s quite well documented he’s Bruce’s mate though so I’m finding his biased pro-Bruce stuff a bit insufferable at the minute.

I used to like him when he was a local columnist for the Journal quite a long time ago. Social media seems to have exposed his arsey side though, seems to get into a lot of needless spats with people who voice dissent to his gospel. He needs to wind his neck in on twitter, very unprofessional.

maybe it’s his weird way of apologizing to the fans before selling - completely dicking over Bruce

State of this guy. Next he’ll be telling us Pardew was a genius for signing cabaye

He absolutely needs to be confronted in person the little keyboard shit talker. He’s become as punchable as ever. Seriously these journalists are scum bags having the arrogance to tell us to settle down or attempt to justify what is happening at a club that should be in the European conversation every year. Fuck YOU Edwards.

Shown up to be a twat here

That's fucking glorious

Newcastle: Mike Ashley does not want to sell anymore, Bruno Genesio goes away

Choice of candidate for the resumption of the English club, Peter Kenyon, Bruno Genesio will not be the new coach of Newcastle. His whimsical owner, Mike Ashley, no longer wants to sell and install Steve Bruce on the bench.

Bruno Genesio will not coach Newcastle. His representative, Pini Zahavi, explained that the former coach of Lyon could have signed at the Toons if the UAE driven by Peter Kenyon (former manager of Chelsea and Manchester United) had managed to buy the club. "  It was their candidate," says Zahavi

But the current owner Mike Ashley finally seems more inclined to sell (he would have refused a bid of 400 million). He should remain at the head of the NUFC, as confirmed by the former striker Michael Chopra, who was also leading a buyout project with Saudis.

Steve Bruce, who has just left his post at Sheffield Wednesday, is expected to take over from Rafael Benitez, who left for Dalian Yifang (China). "  We will find something else for Bruno,  " says Zahavi, who remains in constant contact with the former OL coach.
