Anyone with a bit of sense knows how this all ends and ignores the likes of Luke Edwards.

Nah, continue to question why he's acting the cunt. He's quick with the whole "Well, well, I thought Bruce was shit" line whenever we scrape a win. People need to challenge these arseholes on their flawed rhetroric. Greg is making a good fist of it on Twitter atm.

Fair enough, each to their own.  He does it for one reason, attention, starve him of that imo.  Doesn't deserve the effort.

For the majority of the time getting injuries to your players is down to luck, but for some of these injuries its down to poor squad management from Bruce.

Schar, Saint Maximim, Manquillo, Willems and Lejeune they were asked to play 90 mins or multiple games in succession without any rotation or rest. I mean what was the point of buying Kraft if he can't even fill in during the Christmas period. Bruce could have switched to a back 4 and moved Hayden into defence for one match, played the Longstaff brothers more and even introduced a couple academy players to the bench. He is an experienced Premier League manager, Bruce should know rotation is required even if the quality is not there.

He said himself last summer he thought Newcastle had an excellent transfer window then when the team started badly, he changed his mind that he doesn't have the quality to play his type of football. After the Crystal Palace match, he said he was happy with his squad again, but when results turned and injuries increased he says he doesn't have the strength in depth to cope with injuries. That in itself has been the problem with Bruce and what Newcastle have lost in Benitez. He is not proactive enough, doesn't think long term for anything and never plans ahead just as long as things look comfortable for him points wise he is happy to let things carry on as they are.

We have another 5 weeks and 5 PL games of him being "ahead" of where Rafa was. Could easily pick up no more points until the Norwich home game. Knowing us we will beat Chelsea at home but lose to Norwich.

Be interesting to see what money Bruce gets to spend this window. Will the injuries allow him to spend? or will this be a Ashley wet dream where he feels we are on course for survival so why spend at all.

Hard to see us winning with these latest injuries - so excuses are ready made on a plate for Bruce.

I can’t see us signing anyone even with all of our injuries.

We’ve been in similar/better positions in Jan 2014 and 2015 and ended up selling players and not buying any. This resulted in spectacular collapses in the 2nd half of both seasons.

There is also the issue of getting rid of players who are not fancied/not up to scratch but taking up space in the 25 man squad (Ki, Gayle, Muto & Atsu).

Then you’ve got the likes of Colback and Saivet who are nowhere to be seen. It looks like Colback is out for the season so we can’t even ship him out on loan.

I see his mate Shearer had a go at Joelinton on MOTD. Funny that he was waxing lyrical about Leicester's midfield pair Tielemans and Madison, but didn't ask any questions about their opposite pair, Hayden and Shelvey. Why not ask how come Bruce's coaching team is producing the worst football in the division? Is that also Joelinton's fault?

it is astonishing the level of analysis you get in the UK like, just none whatsoever

you could send joelinton to chelsea tomorrow, for example, he starts banging them in and his replacement at nufc (:yao:) can't score for shit and there would be no reflection or analysis on the situation

similar to the media overall in reality i suppose

What an awful cunt Edwards is, man. Thick as Bruce.

You’d think a man that has managed so many games would have been able, over the years, to change and adapt his style. Instead he’s being shown up for the thick twat he is by greenhorns like Arteta, who within 3 games and 2 weeks has already shown what managing in the PL in 2020 entails.

Guaranteed if/when we go down and Bruce is kept on the narrative will be how we're in a safe pair of hands and how he's the ideal manager to get Newcastle promoted. There'll be barely and mention of who got us relegated or how it's now three relegation's under good businessman Mike Ashley.

It will come down to how the team does in its home matches because Bruce has shown he is terrible when approaching away matches. Norwich won't be easy, they will be targeting it as one of their winnable matches coming up and they already destroyed Bruce's system or whatever it was earlier in the season.

If Bruce loses the next 3 matches then like with McClaren they will spend money and squad size will suddenly not be a big problem for them.

Blames the fixture congestion yet is anyone else having the same problem or moaning?

We had 8 out injured

Bournemouth had 5

3 other clubs had 4

Hardly a league wide issue. Of course nothing to do with the excessive running and pre season training that would serve us well. When facts emerge, disregard and blame bad luck. Way of the fucking world #LeadershipRolemodels.

SB on the four injuries against Leicester: “I can’t see any of them being available for Wolves. In terms of severity, the worst in terms of the scans is Javier Manquillo. We think [Fabian] Schär and [Jetro] Willems are not too bad.”

Wolves away is going to be fun

Saying it’d be unfair to play Saivet after 4 months out, yet plays Lejeune 4 matches in 10 days when he’s been injured and out for longer.

Not too bad...... Rushed back and injured longer term then

Not sure how Schar can be 'not too bad' considering the tape couldn't even help him!

The magic sponge and running it off in training worked wonders.
