Alberto2005
Forgot about Manquillo tbh, doubt we'll go in for someone now.
David Edgar
Injured thanks to the ref not getting control of the dangerous tackles. Whilst the tackle that did him wasn't dangerous, it was clear foul play and the player went in confident he wouldn't get a yellow...
La Parka
He's improved massively under Howe. Hope he recovers well.

UncleBingo
Wonder if he's spoken to Isak about coming here?
gbandit
Not sounding great this, hopefully he’s back before Christmas
ponsaelius
Would imagine he's out of the squad. Good job Manquillo has hung around.
David Edgar
Shite for us and Emil. Seems a top man. Let's not forget that Manquillo is solid.
xLiaaamx
Unfortunate but that's how it goes sometimes. He got his foot in because Manquillo got inured against Villa and now Manquillo will get a look in because he's injured.
OverThere
What actually happened? Was it a contact injury or did he just go to ground with no contact?

It was an awful clumsy tackle from their left back. Emil has the World Cup to look forward to too
Happinesstan
Hopefully he'll be back in time to handle Zaha in the next round.

I dunno exactly how his knee was damaged in that, but the blame is on the clogger and pathetic ref.
Tsunami
Hit him knee high at the side. A leave one on him challenge. Krafth didn’t see it coming either so couldn’t prepare for it.
Lazarus
I thought the Tranmere players studs went into the back of Krafths knee at the time

Years later , when my knee started clicking, I discovered I had calcified haemoglobin, basically a large lump of extra bone. No doubt he'll get better treatment than me. toontownman
Looked bad from the start. Hope it's not though. I love Manquillo. He must be a mule in training though. Rarely let's anyone down when playing but all our managers have had spells playing him and then dropping him again for long spells.

I've always thought he struggles to get up to speed, but once he's settled he's solid. With his injury he hasn't benefitted as much from Howe's training so it'll be interesting to see if that's changed.

TBG
It was described by one of the commentators as an "aggressive" tackle which apparently made it okay. Edited August 26, 2022 by TBG

TRon
Feel for the lad, I don't think anyone was expecting the cup game to turn into 90 mins of violent assault by Tranmere. Their coach is obviously a right cunt.
