NUFC : Next Manager (Bruce is here forever)

Recommended Posts

Pochettino is as proven as anyone. Trophies isn't the best measure of success, especially as he hasn't coached a club that objectively should have won any. His improvement of Southampton and Spurs has been remarkable on individual and collective level. His preferred style is progressive and the high-intensity football that Spurs played would be good for a side that wants to establish itself at the top end. He's a wet dream and we'd be incredibly lucky to get him.

Agree, trophies is a weird way to measure managers.

Yeah, can't really argue with any of that.

Imagine going from Bruce to Poch.  That's a bigger upgrade than Shexy Schteve to Rafa.

By all accounts he's a top manager.

Got mixed feelings about him vs Rafa, but it would be silly to be negative just because he's not Rafa.

In all honesty, I'd expect Poch's brand of football to be far more entertaining than Rafa's. Could argue that Rafa would offer more in terms of sorting out the club from top to bottom, but how often does a manager get time to see these things out in reality.

Obviously this is all falling apart and we'll end up with Steve Coppell mind.

In isolation, yes.  But I don't think anyone other than the Talksport brigade look at it like that.  The whole "yeah, but what have you won though."

I’m not sure he’d want to come here tbh. He may think he deserves a chance at one of the etablished top clubs in Europe. Yes we’ll have great resources but it will be a couple of years before we can battle for trophies.

Still don’t think we’re safe under Bruce if he remains in post for the rest of the season.

Change needs to be made sooner rather than later. Especially since the likely momentum generated by fans at SJP as a result of the takeover won’t take effect

my point being he fell apart as results went ape shit, just look at his facial expression , - a totally deflated and clueless man.

Very few managers haven't experienced a similar spell at some point. What he achieved prior to that collapse, playing some brilliant football in the process, was pretty impressive. God bless.

I don't understand the clamour for Poch. He was lucky he had Kane in his youth team. He hasn't won anything and the forward players he has signed have mainly been pap.

£30 for Sissoko the gutless coward
