Watford 2-1 Newcastle United - 11/07/20 - post match from pg15

Ritchie is done. Far too slow

He's actually been having a decent game until that imo. Saying he's "done" is a bit hyperbolic.

He puts in a decent cross once in a while but he's too slow.

Ridiculous we've got him for another 3 years

Almiron on the left and big Joe behind Gayle for ultra expansive football for the ages.

Again he's a decent utility player, and is good for squad depth, think a 3 year deal is a bit too long, but think it was right for him to get a new contract.

No surprise it was a Benitez signing that gave the pen away. A foul on a Spanish migrant too, very convenient.

Not sure how anyone can say that’s not a pen. He charged in and took his leg away.

Probably because he didn't.  Its a clash of legs that's as much from the attacker as it is the defender.  What I don't get is how people don't seem to think a attacker has any responsibility when it comes to a coming together.  Not going to bother though, enough people will think literally anything is a penalty these days so its pointless to argue I suppose.
