Kanji
The question was number 9 though, so should it just be about the position? Think it’s a bit ambiguous.
Collage
Cisse’s first (half a) season was unreal. Thought we had signed the best striker in the world.
SEMTEX
Dunno how anyone gave a fuck enough about the team/club with Rondon in it tbh. Picked Martins, because he was a fuckin laugh and could smash the ball geet hard. Could accept Cisse, but even Cisse is poisoned by being an Ashley era player. Guest Cheesy Beans
Cisse (that smile man, infectious) Martins, then Rondon.
Toon No9
Oba or Carroll in short spells for me. But to be fair, I don't think we've had a number 9 since Shearer that has really exited me.
Yorkie
The question was number 9 though, so should it just be about the position? Think it’s a bit ambiguous. The poll only features people who have actually worn it...

Chapo
The feeling I had when Carroll was going through that spell is unmatched to this day. Having watched him come into his own through the Championship season, then given the shirt and all the questions about weather he could hack it at this level after that first Monday night game against Man U. From the moment the 1st went in against Villa until the January deadline was amazing. When he was lined up for the anthems after getting his England debut I was proud and I’m neither a Geordie nor English.

Newcastle Fan
Carroll that season for me, he was untouchable in the air and a real force for us.
La Parka
Prime AC-130. What a fucking beast.
Lenny
Have great fondness for Cisse, Carroll, Rondon, and even Martins, but I think I just enjoyed seeing Carroll's name on the scoresheet more than the others.

Yorkie
They didn't wear a shirt with the number 9 on it. Well Demba did but yer kna.
sixx
Went for Cisse. Looking back, that half season Carroll produced was a magical time to be a NUFC supporter. A local no. 9 pretty much being the best striker in the league - unplayable in the air, decent acceleration, strength, scoring from distance and poking them in, brilliant in the hold up. I really thought it was the start of something. It should have been the start of something. The day he was sold was probably the bitterest I've felt as a NUFC supporter, relegations included. Shame Ba never got the 9.
HaydnNUFC
Either Cisse due to the guy's whole demeanour and for that special first 4 months or Rondon due to how much of a well oiled machine we looked post Almiron last season with him spearheading the attack. Happinesstan
It's Demba. And I don't give a fuck what number he wore.
Absolute Elsewhere
A fully fit and motivated Carroll would have broke Shearers club goalscoring record by now if he had stayed here from day 1 I reckon.
Astroblack
Cisse. Even enjoyed his later seasons. Still think he could do a job for us. 22 goals in the Turkish league 19/20 season
